AMTCE hosts a visit by LEO Cavan

On Thursday 16 June 2022, AMTCE welcomed a visit by client companies of the Local Enterprise Office (LEO) Cavan. The representatives were accompanied by LEO Cavan’s Head of Enterprise Marcella Rudden, Senior Enterprise Development Officer Andrea Corrigan, Ray Murphy, Regional Skills Manager, North-East Region and Business Mentors Pat McKeown and Brian Murray.

The companies were Aine’s Chocolates, Arch-I Modular Solutions, Cootehill Precision, Dowd Engineering, Glebe Bedding, Malanaphy Machinery/M-Tec Engineering, McKenna Precision Engineering and Nualach Automation.

The visitors were interested in automation, innovation, new product development and Lean Six Sigma in the context of developing in-house capabilities to take advantage of new market opportunities. Their activities ranged from the production of consumer products like premium chocolate, beds and mattresses to engineering design and services, metal fabrication, telemetry solutions for utilities and renewable energy and automation solutions for medical, pharma, engineering and manufacturing.

Following their visit, Marcella Rudden, Head of Enterprise at LEO Cavan, said “I would like to thank Ray Murphy and Michael McGrath for working with us to facilitate this fantastic opportunity for our clients to experience all that AMTCE has to offer.
