August was a busy and productive month across our training programmes, with learners gaining valuable hands-on experience and strengthening their connections with industry.

As we continue to support people into high-quality manufacturing careers, opportunities to see real workplaces and meet employers remain a key part of the journey.

Robotic welding operator site visit

A highlight this month was a series of site visits for trainees on the full-time Robotic Welding Operator programme. These visits gave participants a clear sense of how close they are to future roles, while helping them understand the pace, standards and expectations of real production environments.

We were delighted to be welcomed by G&S Stainless Services LTD, who generously hosted our learners and shared their expertise. Their team provided valuable insights into day-to-day operations, career pathways, and the importance of skilled welding professionals in modern manufacturing.

Experiences like these not only build confidence but also help learners visualise their next steps.
