Read about what the AMTCE got up to in April
April 2025 marked a significant period of growth, recognition, and outreach for the Advanced Manufacturing Training Centre of Excellence (AMTCE). From showcasing emerging technologies at national summits to supporting award-winning projects and engaging with key stakeholders across the country, AMTCE continues to play a vital role in shaping the future of advanced manufacturing and workforce development in Ireland.
Showcasing Innovation at the National Construction Summit 2025

AMTCE participated in the National Construction Summit 2025, where we demonstrated the transformative role of advanced technologies in the construction sector. Our exhibit featured live demonstrations of a robotic cell powered by ABB, an Ultimaker 3D printer, Boston Dynamics’ Spot robot, and a section of a 3D-printed concrete wall. One of the highlights was HTL.tech’s Justin Kinsella presenting a 3D model of a printed home to renowned architect Dermot Bannon, symbolising the sector’s ongoing digital transformation.
Industry Recognition for 3D Construction Printing

Our training partner HTL.tech received the prestigious “Housing Project of the Year – Medium” award at the 2025 Building & Architect of the Year Awards. The award recognised the groundbreaking Grange Close development in Dundalk—Ireland’s first social housing scheme constructed using 3D Concrete Printing with Ready-Mix Concrete. AMTCE supported this project by delivering key training through our Fundamentals of 3D Construction Printing course, contributing to the development of a skilled workforce for this innovative housing solution.
House Building Summit – Croke Park

As Silver Sponsors, AMTCE presented our role in equipping the construction workforce with skills in robotics, 3D printing, and smart technologies. Andrew Magee, Operations Manager at AMTCE, addressed attendees on how training supports sector-wide innovation.
Cross Border Tourism Conference – Dundalk

AMTCE showcased how advanced training and collaboration can support regional economic growth and workforce upskilling in the border region.
As we move forward, AMTCE remains committed to supporting learners and employers through innovative, industry-focused training designed to meet the evolving demands of Ireland’s advanced manufacturing sector.
